🔍 What we're looking for

Smartex is experiencing rapid growth and expanding our team to create innovative products that revolutionize the textile industry. As part of our team, you will work as a backend development intern, collaborating with us to deliver functional, scalable, and user-friendly API services for industrial usage.

In this role, you will work with cutting-edge frameworks such as Nest.js, Fastify, and Node.js, deployed on modern cloud environments such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and utilizing automated pipelines. You will also employ modern development methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, and collaborate closely with the Heads of Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams.

• Developing server-side logic for web applications using Node.js and Typescript
• Designing and implementing APIs for web and mobile applications
• Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Writing reusable and maintainable code using industry-standard coding practices
• Writing proper, maintainable and understandable documentation
• Optimizing the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Debugging and resolving issues in production environments
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs, and enhancing application performance

🛠️ Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Typescript
• Experience with web application frameworks such as Express.js or Nest.js
• Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL databases such as Postgres & MongoDB
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
