🔍 What we're looking for

We are looking for a technically skilled Database Administrator that is capable of designing databases to solve complex problems.

You will be involved in the planning and development of current and new databases, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users. You will also be managing the performance, integrity, and security of the smartex.ai databases.

• Build database systems of high availability and quality
• Design and implement databases in accordance to end users’ information needs and views
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
• Monitor database performance identify problems that arise, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• Report on usage and performance metrics
• Suggest changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection
• Design databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind
• Control access permissions and privileges, protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new product features

🛠️ Skills & Experience

• Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
• BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• Good communication, teamwork, and negotiation skills
• Business awareness and understanding of business requirements of IT
• Willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology
• Understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act.
• Good organization and communication skills;
• Fluent in English;
• Extra points for experience in the Textile industry or other manufacturing activities;
