🔍 What we're looking for

We are looking for accountable, passionate & energetic person with a hands-on mindset to join our R&D team.

The R&D team has two main missions:

• Exploring new technologies to improve our inspection system;
• Explore new applications for the SMARTEX system in textile and adjacent industries;

It is a multidisciplinary team involved in all technical areas, so curiosity and interest in different areas are a must for a successful candidate. Multiple technical skills might be required, such as technical drawing, optics, mechanics, statistics, electricity/electronics, data visualisation, etc.

👇 Responsibilities

• Life cycle analysis of Smartex devices with the study of their durability, fatigue testing, failure identification and design and implementation of improvements;
• Development of test jigs for Smartex systems, which include lighting systems, cameras, mechanical component alignment components;
• Development of smartex - textile machine interface systems to communicate between them for data transfer and control of the textile machines ( (PCB design, firmware, hardware, prototyping.

🛠️ Skills & Experience

• Schematic design and PCB layout (KiCAD experience is preferred but not mandatory)
• Assemble and test prototypes;
• Write test plans for electronic devices;
• Plan, design, and build test jigs for PCBs and other devices;
• Ability for assessment of the electronics on our client's machines and testing;
• High drive, willingness to learn, grow and try new ideas;
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
